The Glider model is the ideal saddle for both sporting activities and leisure riding. It uses the structure of the Composit model combined with comfortable and abundant padding. It is covered in Genuine Leather for the black versions and Lorica Microfibre for the colored versions.
It has optimal "all-round" characteristics, and is particularly suitable for pelvises with an average anatomical shape. The Glider model is padded with elastomer at the support points of the ischial tuberosity and buttocks.
SMP's patented features such as the completely free central channel, the original eagle's beak nose pad and the raising of the rear portion, give these models an interesting touch of aerodynamics.
By virtue of its comfortable padding it is particularly suitable for people with medium-wide pelvises and for female cyclists.

Investigations conducted by various universities in the United States, Norway and Austria have highlighted that the crushing of the pelvic viscera and pudendal arteries can have serious consequences on the genital system of athletes and enthusiasts. The SMP patent was born from the study of the positions assumed by the runner in the various phases of the route and the consequent interaction between the saddle, pelvic viscera and genitals with the aim of avoiding crushing and rubbing of the same and improving, at the same time, blood circulation to the leg muscles. The pelvic viscera are housed in the central canal of the saddle, up to 5 cm wide, and do not suffer any crushing, allowing the blood circulation to have a complete and continuous natural flow. The cyclist's seat is divided between the buttocks and the lower part of the pelvic bone (the ischial tuberosities).

The front part, characterized by the original eagle's beak shape, avoids crushing the genitals and constitutes a good support base in the characteristic push pedaling.

In the rear part of the saddle there is a depression that allows the coccyx not to touch the saddle, avoiding recoil caused by rough terrain.

The line of union between the back and the front follows the shape of the thigh muscles so as to always have maximum blood circulation for greater pedaling power and the reduction of annoying tingling.
