Obermayer Evo is the further development of the popular Meillestein Obermayer wheel and is available as a model with disc brake. The Tubeless version offers the best rigidity/weight ratio and maximum heat resistance. Obermayer Evo is particularly light and is one of the lighter, exclusive and powerful and powerful DISC wheels in the world.
Lightweigt engineers have left nothing to chance. For this reason they used LCC carbon, already tested and successfully used in the aerospace sector. Thanks to the Active Foam Core, they managed once again to save on weight and increase rigidity. The tested Rim-to-Rim Design, combined with the Lightweight Performance Shape, guarantees breathtaking acceleration. Full Carbon rays are directly connected to the wheel and, thanks to the particularly optimized CFRP fibers, guarantee unparalleled braking precision. The innovative pentagon SL hub is 60 grams lighter and improves heat dissipation during braking, thus increasing safety in the long descents. The maximum permitted weight of the obrmayer EVO system is 100 kg.

Technology
Light and performing shape
The components of the Lightweight wheels are a perfect geometric combination. The circle with Active Foam Core, the Pentagon hub design and the Rim-to-Rim rays are perfectly connected to each other and allow the ultralight and rigid construction of the Lightweight wheels. The monocoque construction with LCC carbon of the Lightweight wheels is very elaborate and provides the best rigidity-details (STW) relationships. In section, the circle and directly connected rays form an X that translates into a lower twist of the wheel and a greater transmission of power directly to the road.
Rim-to-Rim Design
Unlike the classic design of the wheels, the lightweight carbon rays run continuously on one side of the circle through the hub until the other side of the circle. This so-called Rim-Tto-Rim design provides extremely high torsional and lateral rigidity, which cannot be reached with traditional rays. Rays can absorb traction forces up to 1,800 kg and are about 3 times more rigid than a steel radius. The connection of carbon rays to the hub and circle, thanks to the mating of shape and material (firmly laminated), eliminates any deformation and guarantees a breathtaking propulsion. In addition, this type of connection guarantees a huge duration of the entire wheel.
Active Foam Core
Inside the circle there is a nucleus of high -performance foam, called Active Foam Core. Thanks to a patented process, Lightweight is able to build wheels not only lighter, but also to obtain significantly greater rigidity thanks to the lower deformations. Compared to traditional core models, the Active Foam Core has an effect of damping vibrations and consequently guarantees a fluid guide.
LCC carbon
Not all carbon is the same. For the Lightweight wheels, only a specially selected material is used, the so -called Lightweight Custom Composite Carbon - Carbon LCC. A special combination of very thin pre -splashes with types of high resistance and rigidity fibers allows you to reduce the thickness of the walls and to establish new standards in terms of rigidity and weight, without compromising duration and safety.
Pentagon Mozzo
Lightweight engineers have developed a unique design for maximum power transmission. The design of the pentagon hub is the technological heart of each Lightweight wheel with disc brake. It is available in standard and SL version and is used in different lightweight wheels. In the SL version (Super Light), the total weight has been reduced again of 70 grams (in the set) and the aerodynamics has been improved. The high heat that acts from the brake disc on the hub is reliablely dissipated. The further closure of the shape of the housing of the polygon -shaped hub (pentagon) guarantees an extremely safe flow of power from the tire to the brake disc. This increases safety, especially in the longest descents.
