When paired with compatible sensors, Edge 830 now displays your power curve, comparing your pedaling effort to previous weeks and months. No matter where you train, you can sync structured workouts from TrainingPeaks™ and Garmin Connect™ directly to your Edge. You can also view your next workout of the week and seamlessly start it when needed.



RIDE IN COMPLETE SAFETY

Whether you're training with friends or just commuting to work, the Edge 830 takes your safety seriously. It allows sending group messages and group tracking, so you can always stay in touch even when you are separated from your team2. Plus, it comes with crash detection functionality that automatically sends your location to emergency contacts in the event of an accident. For greater awareness, pair the Edge 830 with our rearview radar and Vario lights so you can see and be seen. And the new PIN-protected bike alarm will alert you on your smartphone and from the Edge if your bike is moved while you stop.



TACKLE EVERY CURVE

Edge 830 comes preloaded with Garmin Cycle Map and includes turn-by-turn directions, detailed street names, and navigation alerts that alert you to dangerous curves on your route. To help you ride with peace of mind, the popularity routes feature chooses the roads and trails favored by other cyclists. Edge 830 can also get you back to your route or starting point if you deviate from it or decide to go home early. With route calculation speeds 2x faster than previous models, you'll spend more time pedaling, without having to wait.



EXPLORE NEW TRAILS

If you need a change of scenery, Edge 830 is the perfect guide for mountain bike excursions. Start by downloading the free Trailforks app from our Connect IQ Store and then unlock Trailforks map content on your Edge via a wizard. Featuring trails from over 80 countries, Trailforks includes the best, most up-to-date information, including trail conditions, popularity maps and more. If you stop halfway, the new Forksight mode automatically displays subsequent forks and shows you the context of where you are within a trail network. As you ride, Edge 830 tracks important details with new MTB metrics, like jump count, length and hang time. Other MTB features include Grit, which evaluates the difficulty of a route using altitude, accelerometer and magnetometer sensors, and Flow, which evaluates ride smoothness so you can get a baseline score for your next ride



SCALE LIKE A PROFESSIONAL

Climbing can become your secret weapon with Edge 830 and the new ClimbPro feature. During a climb, it automatically shows the gradient and remaining climb when you follow a route. It shows you how much more you have to suffer, helping you evaluate your effort in the rest of the race.



SHIMANO STEPS EBIKE SYSTEM

Pair an Edge cycle computer with a supported SHIMANO STEPS eBike system and see a dedicated eBike status screen, data fields, system status information, and warning messages. In addition to Edge metrics like time, distance, and speed, you can also view pedal assist level, gear position, battery life, and distance remaining during a ride.



CUSTOMIZE YOUR DEVICE

Only Garmin lets you customize your device with free apps, widgets and data fields from the Connect IQ Store. Apps like AccuWeather MinuteCast let you know when the rain will stop and find the perfect time for your next workout. If you plan your rides on sites like Strava, Komoot or Wikiloc, download these apps to import your favorite routes directly to your Edge. Or, if you're looking for a nearby coffee shop or bike shop, use the Yelp app to download their locations and travel directly to them using your Edge device.
