Technology
SwingLink
Press a SRAM brake lever and you notice it immediately. Less dead zone. More positive engagement. A new cam system requires less lever travel to push the pads toward the rotor. That's great, but there's more to perfecting braking performance than just power. You need control. Many braking systems minimize the dead zone, but at the expense of modulation. SwingLink solves this problem with its special cam shape. When the pads contact the rotor, the leverage rate curve is flat and smooth, avoiding the "on/off" feeling of the brake. Expandable Bladder
SRAM's new brake lever design includes a reshaped membrane that helps regulate and reduce air bubbles. The membrane is specially shaped to evacuate air from the lever and push the fluid exactly where it is needed. The result is better backpressure relief, producing reliable braking power and consistency.
Bleeding Edge
With this new caliper fluid circuit, the bleed port has been moved to the bottom of the caliper and all four piston bores can communicate. In this way, during bleeding, the fluid naturally fills the caliper, resulting in a simpler and more consistent bleeding.
Contact Point Adjustment
Some people like the instant power of a short stroke of the lever. Others prefer the feel of a longer cast. With contact point adjustment, you can choose the position you want your fingers to be in when the brakes are engaged. It's a quick and easy way to customize the feel of your brakes without having to move the pads. It's also a way to balance both brake levers so they have the same feel.
