Mounted on the rear, thanks to special blocks and a tread with a medium profile and spacing, Scorpion™ XC R guarantees traction and stability on a variety of different terrains, from compact to soft. A perfect combination when associated with the front with Scorpion™ XC M or Scorpion™ Designs optimized for the consistency of the terrain regardless of the climatic condition, maximizing the performance of the various geometries of the blocks present in the Scorpion™ MTB range, for a truly uncompromising performance. With the Pirelli Scorpion™ MTB range it is no longer necessary to change tires based on the weather conditions, but simply focus on the consistency of the terrain you usually face. The choice of the single-compound solution offers consistently high grip in both dry and wet conditions, even when the blocks begin to wear out.

Technologies
ProWall
ProWALL is a sidewall reinforcement technology that improves puncture protection and driveability even at low pressures. The additional layer of nylon fabric on the carcass sidewalls improves not only cut and pinch protection but also the stability of the entire structure, allowing for better handling and more precise cornering, both essential to enhancing your offroad riding experience. All without compromising on weight and smoothness, making the ProWALL a perfect solution for both cross-country racing and aggressive trail and enduro when paired with different carcass structures, 120 tpi and 60 tpi respectively .
SMartGrip Compound
Decades of success in the Motocross and Rally world championships have led Pirelli engineers to develop an innovative compound, the SmartGRIP Compound for the Scorpion™ MTB range, combining two opposite characteristics: the SmartGrip Compound for Scorpion™ MTB, combining two opposite characteristics: resistance to tearing, for maximum mechanical grip in dry conditions and at the same time maximum puncture resistance; Chemical grip on wet surfaces, so you don't have to worry about rain and muddy, slimy sections of the course. The compound used is the result of an intense research and development process which has allowed us to obtain absolute performance in both dry and wet conditions.
