Description

Optimized for the rear wheel, this all-round tire balances stability, grip, braking traction and rolling resistance. Ideal for pushing yourself on terrain in any condition.

Characteristics
    • Soft Compound: The balance between grip and rolling resistance for gravity-focused use cases. High level of grip with reasonable rolling resistance. Possibility to optimize the rolling properties of the rear wheel on the DH bike or to have the optimal combination for Enduro or Trail.

    • Downhill Carcass: The strongest and most reinforced carcass structure in the gravity line.

    • Tubeless Ready: The casing structure is robust and resistant to damage and the penetration of foreign objects. The result: versatility, low weight and attractive design. Furthermore, tires made with this technology can also be used with an inner tube.

    • E25: also suitable for E-Bikes.

Technologies

Black Chili
The BlackChili compound is produced exclusively in the Continental factory in Korbach, Germany, and combines the latest polymers with carbon black particles and specially developed filling materials. Both cars and bicycles benefit from this technology. Mounted on a bicycle, tires with BlackChili offer cyclists excellent reliability, both in downhill races on a mountain bike and in time trials on a racing bike.

Apex
Used successfully in car tires for years, its transition to bicycle tires was only a matter of time. A natural rubber profile, inserted between the layers of the carcass at the base of the tire, stiffens the sidewalls, minimizing the torsion of the tire due to high transverse loads. Stiffer sidewalls which, in turn, reduce the risk of punctures and prevent the tire from slipping off the rim. At low pressure, grip improved without becoming too slow when cornering. The risk of punctures is significantly reduced.
