Description

The Continental Grand Prix 5000 is the successor of the legendary Grand Prix 4000s II road bike tire. In terms of performance, the Grand Prix 5000 exceeds its predecessor. With less rolling resistance, a lower weight and greater comfort, the Grand Prix 4000s II was dirty from the throne after a long period of time.

Equipped with the latest technologies.
The Grand Prix 5000 is equipped with the most recent Continental technologies. An updated version of the Continental's Black Chilli compound compound provides a perfect balance between rolling and grip resistance. With the "Lazer Grip Technology" technology, the shoulders of the Grand Prix 5000 tread are more rough. This gives the GP 5000 an optimal curve grip. This laser tread also improves the air flow around the tire for better aerodynamics.

More stability and comfort.
In addition, the GP 5000 has a renewed carcass. The new 330 TPI 3 -layer construction is more rigid than the carcass of its predecessor. This gives the GP 5000 greater stability in curve and at high speeds. The tire is also equipped with an Active Comfort layer. As the name suggests, Active Comfort ensures a high level of driving comfort. The "Active Comfort layer" has an amortizing effect and dampens the vibrations of the road surface, without compromising the resistance to rolling. This allows the Grand Prix 5000 to offer comfortable guide with excellent rolling resistance.

Better protection from drilling.
Finally, this continental tire presents an updated version of the Vectran anti -forage strip of Continental. This extra internal layer offers better protection against drilling. Continental claims that the risk of drilling has been reduced by 20% compared to its predecessor. In this way, Continental contributes greatly to the duration of the Grand Prix racing bike tires. With the Grand Prix 5000, Continental presents the new heir to the throne!

Technologies

Black kilos compound.
The designers of Continental returned to the drawing table to further perfect the black Chili Compound of the Grand Prix 4000 SII. And they succeeded! Different test results show that Continental GP5000 obtains higher scores in terms of rolling resistance, duration and wear resistance.

Lazergrip technology.
Continental worked on the laser the edges of the Grand Prix 5000. The laser profile adapts optimally to the road surface. In this way, a greater adherence to curve is obtained. The difference is felt at high speed and wet!

Active Comfort.
A cushioning layer is applied below. This Active Comfort layer attenuates the oscillations and vibrations of the road surface. The greatest comfort allows you to stay in aerodynamic position longer. This offers you an unprecedented driving experience.

Vectran Breaker layer.
The Vectran Breaker layer is an anti-permit protective layer under the tread. This band prevents pointed stones, twigs and glass splinters pass through the tire and reach the inner tube. With this layer you can enjoy greater protection against drilling.

Compatibility

• available in 23, 25, 28 and 32 mm per 700c
• Weight: 215 grams (25 mm of tire width)
• 330TPI, 3 -layer construction
• 10 grams lighter than the Grand Prix 4000s II

    • The new black chili compound compound has an even lower rolling resistance.

    • The flexible carcass offers greater cornering and high speed stability.

    • The laser profile tread on the edge of the tire offers an optimal grip on the asphalt.

    • The Vectran anti -forage range protects the tire from cuts caused by pointed objects.

  • The "Active Comfort" layer has an amortizing effect and dampens the vibrations of the road surface, without negatively affecting rolling resistance.

    • You need a Cacciagomma lever to place the last part of the tire on the circle.
