Technologies
PowerLock®
Sram engineers developed PowerLock® as a safe and easy way to connect the two ends of the chain. PowerLock® requires no special tools for installation, but the especially tight tolerances of 10, 11 and 12-speed drivetrains require each PowerLock® to be used for a single application only.
Flattop ™
To bring the X-Range™ technology to life, Sram had to develop a narrower chain. The unique shape of the Flattop™ link not only made it possible to expand the gear range, but also to make the operation of the transmission quieter and to increase the strength and durability of the chain.
