The new C13 chain is a fundamental element of the Ekar mechanical group; in addition to providing an efficient transmission, in the gravel discipline the chain must function perfectly to contribute to a smooth and fast gear change, always guaranteeing maximum safety. It also needs to be robust and durable, and the Ekar C13 chain offers extraordinary performance on all fronts. At just 4.9mm wide, the C13 chain is 0.25mm narrower than the Campagnolo 12-speed chain, yet offers exactly the same high performance and long life characteristics recognized on all Campagnolo chains. The C13 chain pairs effectively with the special profile teeth of the 1x13 speed crankset gear and Ekar sprockets for a safe, efficient and smooth transmission. Despite its narrow profile, the C13 chain is very sturdy; its internal links in C60 steel with nickel-Teflon surface treatment resist the highest rate of wear to which they are subjected on gravel routes. The entire chain, made in the Campagnolo factory in Vicenza, is subjected to an exclusive lubrication process, with an ultrasonic bath system which guarantees that the special lubricant formula covers all the links deeply and evenly. The result is efficient operation and high resilience, ensuring longevity even in difficult off-road conditions, and requiring less maintenance. The Ekar C13 chain is available in two locking options: the classic Campagnolo pin, or the new C-Link™, for even easier removal and cleaning. The two versions were designed to offer the versatility necessary to satisfy the different needs of every type of gravel use, all over the world.
