It features Pro-Tech™ technology which consists of a patented external seal that protects the ball bearings from harmful ingress of water, mud and sand and a watertight central sleeve made of glass fiber filled polyamide to prevent contamination from within. The new cups mate with oversized external stainless steel bearings keyed to the two Ultra-Torque™ semi-axles firmly fixed to the cranks. Thanks to the Pro-Tech™ sealing system, performance is always optimal, however and wherever you go. Technology

Pro-Tech™
Patented Pro-Tech™ double-seal technology securely connects the two half-axles within the bottom bracket and protects the bearings from water and mud ingress, providing high-performance longevity, even in the worst conditions. The innovative and proven Ultra-Torque™ technology has been developed for gravel: the Hirth joint of the Pro-Tech™ system features self-centering and self-aligning teeth located in the center of the crank where the ends of the integrated semi-axles meet. The pins are secured together with a single protected oversized screw, their precise mating can even overcome the misalignment that some carbon frames can have thanks to tiny tolerance differences in their manufacture.

The torque transmission of the Pro-Tech™ crank system is as efficient as that of a single thru axle and is lighter. Furthermore, being better protected than other systems, it is also more durable. The oversized stainless steel bearing located on the crank arm, outside the bottom bracket cups, offers maximum rigidity, smoothness and resistance thanks to the increased diameter of the pins.
