Operation: The Range Extender works as a powerbank for the main battery installed in your electric bike. In the X35 and X35+ system of Ebikemotion, only the main battery provides power to the engine, while the range extender loads the main battery. The loading takes place independently of the fact that there is a demand for power by the engine (speeds greater than 25 km/h, firm bicycle or no ride). The Range Extender has a discharge speed of 1.9a, while the engine can instantly request up to 9a. It is therefore evident that the Range Extender cannot provide power to the engine independently without going through the main battery. It is therefore recommended to use the range extender always connected to the main battery, through the charging point, ensuring the loading of the main battery during use. In case of intensive use of the battery at maximum assistance and for very long periods, it is possible that the main battery discharges much faster than the range extender is able to recharge it; In these cases it will be necessary to wait for the Range Extender to recharge the main battery at a sufficient level to be able to use electrical assistance again.

Turn on: After connecting the Range Extender to the charging point, press the IWOC button at the top of the device. Instantly, the IWOC button also in the horizontal bicycle tube will start flashing with the indicative color of the main battery charge level, such as when loading the battery with the normal charger. The bicycle works normally and the assistance levels can be changed as if the range extensive was not connected. To ensure the highest level of autonomy, it is recommended to connect from the beginning the range extender to the main battery, in order to have the time necessary for complete loading.

Shutdown: To turn off the Range Extender, press the button on the top of the device continuously for 3 seconds.

Load: The Range Extender can be loaded both independently and in series compared to the main battery of Cento1 Hybrid. To load it independently, just connect the X35 charger to the charging door at the top of the device. To load it in series with the main battery, it is necessary to connect the range extender to the bike through the charge point and then connect the charger to the range extender in its charge point. Alternatively, it is possible to view the charge level of the Range Extender through the EBIKEMOTION smartphone application.
